January Meeting

Ladies our next Great Oaks meeting will be January 8th, with the social portion starting at 1:00 PM in the Ballroom at the Nick Clubhouse.

Our speaker will be New Hanover County Sheriff, Ed McMahon, who will be speaking on crime and crime prevention measures in our county.

Team Sidwell
This year Sandra Sidwell should have been President of the Great Oaks Club.   The Great Oaks Club would therefore like to start an annual Team Sidwell GOLD sponsorship/participation for this year's Wilmington Blue Ribbon Run to be held on Saturday March 22, 2025.  This local Wilmington charity was founded 10-years ago to honor two Wilmington Moms* who lost their battles to colorectal cancer, like Sandra Sidwell.

At a Gold level sponsorship level, Great Oaks will get six (6) registrations & six (6) T-shirts with Great Oaks Team Sidwell sponsorship listed. These 6 registrations/T-shirts will be raffled off to donating GO members at the end of the February meeting.  Ana Brown will be at the January meeting with information to sign-up for the race, which you can participate either in-person or virtually.   You can get more information at the Blue Ribbon Run website https://theblueribbonrun.org/ and info on how to purchase registrations
